NATIVE BLACK HONEY BEES

Our Association is starting a project to raise native (AMM) honey bee queens. This is being done in conjunction with the Borders Bee Breeding Project and with the Scottish Native Honey Bee Society. We will update further on the progress as the project develops further.

To help enthusiastic beekeepers in the identification of native honey bees (A.M.M.) we have created a simple spreadsheet tool to undertake wing morphometry. This is free for all to use. Click below to download.
